Pastor Brandon Watson joined the Bethlehem Family in January 2018. He knew at 19 that God was calling him to serve the Lord, but he didn’t know exactly how. He only knew that he needed to know Him more. Brandon knew from that point forward that his college education would need to serve that purpose and that he would need to go to seminary. God brought great men into his life to shape his heart and challenge his thinking. Brandon didn’t have many experiences in the church in his early life. He attended a play at a local church when he was 11 years old with his parents, where he and his mother made a decision to follow Christ and his stepfather followed a few weeks later. The three of them were baptized together and they grew together in the Lord.
Pastor Brandon received a B.A. in Communication Studies from UNC-Wilmington in 2004 and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2007.
He met his wife and helpmate Krissy at a seminary. They married shortly after Brandon graduated and they were blessed with their daughter Claire two years later. Krissy has been a Dental Assistant for 16 years and is working to complete her Bachelors and apply for Dental School. Claire is their miracle and blessing who was born at 25 weeks weighing 1 lb. 1 oz. and 11 inches. She spent 108 days in the hospital and had open heart surgery at 3 weeks old, the Lord blessed them with a child and they have raised her with the promise to the Lord that she belongs to Him and they will raise her to send her out into the world as a missionary for His glory.
Pastor Brandon also loves watching professional football and playing fantasy football. He also likes spending time with people and playing cards and board games. He enjoys hearing about peoples lives and will always want to know what they do. He also always wants to be a learner and would say that he has learned many things, but mastered very little.
